John Ratnaswamy Serves as a Referee at the FTC Robotics Illinois State Championship Tournament

John Ratnaswamy served as a Referee at the FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) Robotics Illinois State Championship tournament held at Elgin Community College on February 24-25, 2017. The top teams qualified for the Illinois state tournament. John also has served as a Referee and as a Judge at earlier FTC tournaments this season. This is the sixth year in a row that John has served as a Judge or Referee at a FIRST tournament. The mission of FIRST is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
