FERC Seeks Comment on Cybersecurity Enhancements

On June 18, 2020, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) issued a Notice of Inquiry (NOI) seeking input from the public regarding potential cybersecurity improvements to the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) reliability standards.

Due to the continual evolvement of cybersecurity threats, FERC would like to determine if the current CIP standards sufficiently address the data security and cybersecurity areas of the bulk power system.
