The American Bar Association’s Task Force on Law and Artificial Intelligence has released a report titled: “Year 2 Report on the Impact of AI on the Practice of Law.” It is the final Report from the Task Force, which was convened in August of 2023.

The ABA’s press release about the Report states in part:

…the task force addressed some of the most pressing and challenging legal issues facing society today, including the profound impact of AI on the legal profession and the rule of law, the courts, legal education, access to justice, governance and risk management, as well as challenges presented by generative AI and ethical dilemmas.

The report addresses these areas and provides insights and resources that will equip the legal community to address these developments effectively. It also lists AI-related programs and events recommended by the task force and from across the ABA, many of which are available to lawyers, judges and members of the public at ambar.org/aiLaw.
