50th Anniversary of Earth Day

On April 22, 1970, 20 million Americans protested environmental ignorance and called for change to take care of our planet. That day, the first Earth Day, launched the modern environmental movement we are still participating in and celebrating 50 years later.

The Earth Day Network, as organizers of the original Earth Day, selected “Climate Action” as the theme for Earth Day 2020.
